I use this for dry erase markers at work. XD
I made this purchase to carry extra shells for a Mossberg 930 SPX and I am not disappointed.
This shell belt is made of nylon that will not tear or break easily and feels very durable when used. I can confirm it does fit 12 gauge shells with no problem, however putting shells in initially was not the easiest process.
At first, the holders are very tight and took some effort to get the shells in, but once in, the shells fit like a charm. I would suggest letting them sit in the holder for a few days so that they loosen just enough to make inserting newer shells easier.
Received the shotgun shell belt yesterday; loaded it up last night; going shooting this weekend. The shells fit super snug! Alternating shells every other one and then in between seemed the easiest way to put them in. The buckle although plastic seems sturdy enough. You can wear it like a belt, it's big enough to go around even if you have on a heavy coat, but I think I will carry it more like a bandolier across the body like Poncho Villa...lol. With 25 extra shells combined with 5 on the buttstock shell holder, 6 on the side saddle, 5 in the mag and one in the chamber of my Mossberg Maverick 88 Security model 12 Gauge, that's 41 shells at your disposal in a hurry... pretty awesome! A solid product. The price was OK, getting it with free shipping and no tax sold me as opposed to buying it locally (Atwoods and Walmart carry them for $6.99 but with taxes). It took about 5 days to get it, which isn't bad considering it's Christmas time. It's a good product, functions as intended.
Fits 20 gauge nicely. Takes a bit of time to get them in but at least they don’t fall out. Easy carry option. I like it.
I was amused when I saw this. I wanted an easy and more budget-friendly approach to carrying shotgun shells on my person [I was looking at available side saddles but found them to either be of lower than acceptable quality or too pricy]. I figured, "Hey! It's $9. So what if it sucks?" I bought it, not expecting much out of it. Upon unboxing and use, I was surprised by a good degree. The slots for the shells were tight and well sewn, the buckle was tough and looked to be made of durable plastic. I decided to put this thing through its paces and use it on a squirrel hunt. Despite me constantly having to maneuver through the brush, sneak, run, etc- I didn't lose a single shell. The only downside is for those who run tactical or EDC belts, this belt will make that whole setup a little clumsy, but maybe you can find a workaround.
Pretty handy shell belt, or rather bandolero is how I've been wearing it. Holds 12ga snug and yes its tight getting them in the first time but I can rest assured they won't fall out. The belt feels tough and the clip is very positive when connected so it cannot be accidentally unbuckled.
Love these, bought 6 and organized my shells, my son comes out to hunt and leaves shells in pockets etc , hold an entire box of 25 , grab and go.
